Our Portfolio
Paraiba Tourmaline
NO OTHER COLORED GEMSTONE HAS CAPTIVATED THE WORLD AS ENDURINGLY AS THE PARAIBA TOURMALINE.
Its electrifying neon blue, its fiery turquoise, its inimitable glow—these are not mere coincidences of nature, but the result of a unique copper content that sets it apart from every other tourmaline.
For decades, Paul Wild has been one of the few dealers with direct access to the most significant deposits in Brazil and Mozambique. What this means: quality you can see—and rarity that retains its value.
The Paraiba is Paul Wild’s signature stone.
Tourmaline
THE WIDE VARIETY OF TOURMALINES IS INSPIRED BY NATURE'S COLOR PALETTE AND OFFERS JEWELERS AND GEMSTONE ENTHUSIASTS AROUND THE WORLD ENDLESS CREATIVE POSSIBILITIES.
The Sinhalese word “Tura Mali,” from which the tourmaline takes its name, means “stones of many colors.” And that is certainly true, for the incomparable palette of tourmalines shimmers in every color of the rainbow. Sometimes, individual, one-of-a-kind stones even sparkle in a multitude of different colors. The diverse color spectrum of these gemstones inspires designers to create jewelry for every mood and occasion. At Paul Wild, tourmaline is therefore one of the company’s bestsellers.
Demantoid
SPECIAL CUTS GIVE DEMANTOID, THE KING OF GARNETS, AN EXCEPTIONAL BRILLIANCE THAT SPARKLES MORE INTENSELY THAN ANY DIAMOND.
The African demantoid is prized as the “jewel of the gods.” In Herero, the local language of Namibia, the Brandberg—near which the demantoid is mined—is also called “Omukuruwaro” or “Mountain of the Gods.” Paul Wild operates his own mine at this site.
Sapphire
THIS GEMSTONE, KNOWN SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL FOR ITS BLUE BEAUTY, COMES IN ALMOST EVERY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW.
With its natural luster and intense color, the sapphire—one of the most beautiful and precious gemstones on Earth—has more than earned the name “gemstone of the heavens.”
As a symbol of sincerity, loyalty, purity, and trust, it is particularly popular in engagement rings. In addition to deep cornflower-blue sapphires, this gemstone comes in a wide range of attractive colors, including pink, green, and yellow.
Ruby
THE RUBY SYMBOLIZES PASSION, PROTECTION, AND PROSPERITY.
Its regal color palette ranges from deep carmine red to delicate shades of rosé and lilac. Paul Wild offers a select collection of the finest rubies from the most prestigious regions of origin. Precisely cut one-of-a-kind stones and perfectly calibrated series make them the centerpiece of many exclusive jewelry designs.
Emerald
THE VELVETY, RICH GREEN OF THE EMERALD IS UNPARALLELED AND HAS BEEN COVETED SINCE ANTIQUITY.
Paul Wild presents a remarkable selection of fine emeralds from Colombia, Zambia, and Brazil—precisely cut and of exceptional clarity. Their brilliant facets lend every piece of jewelry an aura of timeless elegance.
Tanzanite
TANSANITE, ONE OF THE WORLD'S RAREST GEMSTONES, CAPTIVATES WITH ITS DEEP BLUE HUE AND A HINT OF VIOLET.
Since it is found in only one location, its exclusivity is unparalleled. As a sightholder for TanzaniteOne, Paul Wild offers exceptional quality stones in sizes up to 200 carats—a gemstone that reveals new depths with every glance.
Aquamarine
AQUAMARINE REFLECTS THE CLARITY AND CALM OF THE SEA AND SPARKLES IN TRANSPARENT SHADES OF BLUE, RANGING FROM PASTEL TO INTENSE TURQUOISE.
For over 40 years, Paul Wild has offered an exceptional selection of precisely faceted aquamarines from Brazil and Mozambique. Their harmonious colors inspire elegant jewelry sets of timeless beauty.
Morganite
THE DELICATE, PINK MORGANITE SYMBOLIZES LOVE AND GRACE.
Its pastel hues, ranging from bright pink to peach, make it a feminine, modern gemstone. Paul Wild crafts morganite from Brazil and Madagascar into brilliant facets, baroque shapes, and perfectly coordinated collections—ideal for elegant, light-filled designs.
Tsavorite
THE TSAVORITE IS REMARKABLE FOR ITS EXCEPTIONALLY BRIGHT GREEN COLOR, ITS PURITY, AND ITS INTENSE LUSTER.
Considered one of the most valuable garnets, it is regarded by connoisseurs as a true rarity. Paul Wild selects only the most brilliant specimens and presents a collection that meets the highest standards of color, brilliance, and exclusivity.
Spinel
SPINEL IMPRESSES WITH A BRILLIANCE RIVALING THAT OF THE RUBY AND A TRANSPARENCY THAT MAKES ITS VIBRANT COLORS SHINE.
Many famous crown jewels feature spinels—and at Paul Wild, too, they are among the highlights of the collection. The intense hues from Tanzania, in particular, create a fascinating, fiery play of light.
IMPERIAL TOPAZ
TOPAZ COMES IN MANY DIFFERENT COLORS. BY FAR THE RAREST AND MOST EXPENSIVE VARIETY OF TOPAZ IS IMPERIAL TOPAZ, WHOSE COLOR SPECTRUM IS REMINISCENT OF THE EVENING SKY.
The range extends from fiery gold, peach, and pink gemstones to rare shades of violet. The most vibrant colors in our collection come from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Paul Wild’s selection includes gold- and peach-colored gemstones in faceted cuts, available as single stones or pairs, as well as intense pink in larger quantities, e.g., for necklace sets
MANDARIN GARNET
THE UNIQUE MANDARIN GARNET, A SYMBOL OF CONFIDENCE AND JOY OF LIFE, IS HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY GEMSTONE ENTHUSIASTS AND DESIGNERS FOR ITS UNPARALLELED COLOR, HIGH BRILLIANCE, AND RARITY.
This fiery Spessartine garnet is mined in various African countries; Paul Wild’s most spectacular specimens come from Nigeria and Namibia. Our designers use this top-quality gemstone to create sets of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. The mandarin garnet is also extremely popular when paired with other gemstones (such as pastel-colored morganite).
ALEXANDRITE
THE MAGIC OF THE SPECTACULAR ALEXANDRITE LIES IN ITS ABILITY TO CHANGE COLOR WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGES: IN NATURAL LIGHT, THE ALEXANDRITE DISPLAYS A WIDE RANGE OF GREEN SHADES, WHILE IN ARTIFICIAL LIGHT IT DISPLAYS A PALETTE OF VIOLET AND RED SHADES.
The rare trichroic gemstone variety of chrysoberyl is prized by gemstone enthusiasts as an “emerald by day and a ruby by night.” Paul Wild's alexandrites come primarily from Brazil and India, with some from Russia; this mystical gemstone is often presented in classic cuts; pairs or necklace sets are rare and extremely valuable.

OUR HISTORY
Alles begann in Kirschweiler
1660
Since 1660, the Wild family is passed down from generation to generation a special knack for working with gemstones and the fine art of gemstone cutting.
1927
FOUNDING OF THE COMPANY
When Paul Wild launched his gemstone cutting workshop, he laid the foundation for a sparkling empire. The company’s success stems above all from its passion for beautiful stones and its masterful craftsmanship. From the very beginning, Paul Wild has known how to perfectly blend tradition with the future—and to continually build upon the expertise passed down from generation to generation.
since 1980
EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
Long known as a specialist in exceptionally beautiful tourmalines and aquamarines, the company expanded its product portfolio in the 1980s to include many other valuable gemstones. As the market leader in the colored gemstone segment, we present our stones not only in classic cuts and calibrated sizes, but also in our own unique creations. Starting in the 1990s, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds were added to the range and remain among the stars of the portfolio to this day.
1984
PRESENCE AT INTERNATIONAL TRADE SHOWS AND GLOBAL STRATEGY
In 1984, Paul Wild made its international debut with a booth at the trade show in Basel. This was followed by trade shows in Hong Kong and other cities. Today, the company attends a total of eleven events worldwide each year, most recently including Beijing and Shanghai.
since 1992
MARKUS PAUL WILD EXPANDS PAUL WILD'S INTERNATIONAL NETWORK
Since joining the company in 1992, Markus Paul Wild has strengthened the global sourcing of exceptional colored gemstones. Building on early travels with his father, he deepened partnerships in key gemstone regions and expanded the portfolio to include outstanding tourmalines, rubies, aquamarines, demantoids, and the now-iconic Paraíba tourmalines. To this day, long-term, trusting relationships with leading producers define the quality and diversity of Paul Wild.
since 2000
PAUL WILD OPENS SALES OFFICES IN EUROPE, ASIA, AND THE U.S.
Close ties with the world’s leading gemstone suppliers, combined with state-of-the-art manufacturing, form the foundation of Paul Wild’s unique gemstone selection. To further build on these strengths, the company opened sales offices in Paris and New York and expanded into the emerging Asian markets—particularly China. In 2012, the Beijing office was established, providing a deep understanding of the Far Eastern business world and mindset. Growth in Asia continued with the opening of additional offices in Hong Kong.
since 2010
Strategic positioning in the global gemstone market
Building on decades of relationships with leading mines and producers, the company strengthened its presence in established markets such as Europe and the United States while simultaneously expanding into rapidly growing regions in Asia. By opening additional sales offices, Paul Wild deepened its understanding of local market structures and customer needs. At the same time, the company invested in state-of-the-art production and cutting technologies to ensure the exceptional color variety and quality of its gemstones. This phase laid the foundation for a globally connected, technologically leading gemstone manufacturer.
since 2024
Further advancement of PAUL WILD's leadership in innovation and strengthening its brand identity in the premium segment
Since 2024, the focus has been on digitally supported processes, transparent communication regarding provenance, and even closer collaboration with international jewelry brands and manufacturers. At the same time, the company is strengthening its leading expertise in the field of intensely colored, rare gemstones and now boasts one of the most extensive and diverse selections of colored gemstone varieties in the world. In this way, Paul Wild is responding to the growing demand for individual, high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces. New presentation formats, modernized showrooms, and an increased presence at international trade fairs underscore the company’s commitment to continuing to set standards in quality, color diversity, and gemstone innovation.
