Training at Paul Wild – Your entry into the gemstone industry
For more than 40 years, Paul Wild has been training young talent within the dual education system: apprentices learn on the job from our experts while simultaneously attending the vocational school in Idar-Oberstein. By combining hands-on practical expertise with sound theoretical learning content, they receive a qualification at the end of their training that is truly worth something.

Training as a Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant (m/f/d)
TRAINING PERIOD: THREE YEARS
- Collaboration in customer support and acquisition
- Management and (co-)organisation of trade fair appearances
- Support for our customs department (import and export)
- Collaboration in accounting as well as general organization
- Willingness to connect, intercultural and linguistic competence
- Commercial mindset and high attention to detail
- Independent and a team player
- Joy in planning, organizing, and presenting
FURTHER TRAINING: various computer courses, language courses, gemology
Training as an Office Management Assistant (m/f/d)
TRAINING PERIOD: THREE YEARS
- Collaboration in customer support and acquisition
- Management and (co-)organisation of trade fair appearances
- Support for our customs department (import and export)
- Collaboration in accounting as well as general organization
- Willingness to connect, intercultural and linguistic competence

Training as a gemstone cutter (m/f/d)
TRAINING PERIOD: THREE YEARS
- You will be actively involved in our production right from the start
- You are learning how to cut, rough-shape, grind, and polish gemstones
- Use in both the cabochon department and facet cutting
- You actively support our apprenticeship fairs with your participation
- Sense of aesthetics and forms
- Manual dexterity, a good eye for proportions, and a steady hand
- High diligence, quality awareness, and ability to concentrate
- Observation accuracy and spatial reasoning ability
FURTHER TRAINING to the master craftsman or gemologist
